Royal Run at Marienlyst Palace
Monday, May 25, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
Visit without a ticket – and experience Royal Run in the middle of the palace park at Marienlyst Palace.
See practical information about the day here: https://marienlystslot.dk/pages/kontakt-praktisk-info
Everyone is welcome to drop by and be part of the atmosphere as thousands of spectators gather to cheer. Here you will be close to the route as approximately 12,500 runners pass through the palace park for the 5 and 10 km races – out of a total of 17,500 participants on the day.
Marienlyst Palace has just reopened its doors after almost 20 years and now provides the setting for a festive day filled with movement, presence, and community.
The King's Kitchen – part of the experience
The King's Kitchen is open all day and is more than just a place to eat – it's part of the experience where you can taste history.
Here you can take a break from the running atmosphere, sit down and enjoy the historic surroundings, or take everything out into the garden and be close to the action along the route.
The menu offers brunch, lunch, as well as coffee from the local roastery and freshly baked cakes from our own small micro-bakery.
You can:
- Take food and drinks out into the palace park
- Find your own spot in the garden and be ready to cheer
- Or book a table and experience the palace from the inside
There's plenty of space in the palace park where you can enjoy the day at your own pace.
Want to experience the entire palace and the King's chambers?
If you wish to experience the King's chambers, which have been carefully renovated, you can book access for DKK 30 per person. It will soon be possible to book your spot online.
