Marienlyst Palace is a historical site in motion.

After extensive restoration, the doors are once again open for exhibitions, events, garden activities, communities, and social initiatives. To bring life to the palace and provide our guests with good experiences, we need engaged people around us.

As a volunteer, you can contribute with your time, your experience, your ideas, your professional skills, or your practical abilities. There is room for both those who want a fixed task and those who can only help occasionally.

You decide how much you want to get involved. Together, we will find the tasks and the scope that suits you.

What can you help with?

You can express your interest in the following areas, among others:

Exhibition Hosting and Guest Service
Welcome guests, answer questions, help them get started with their visit, and pay attention to the exhibitions and historical rooms.

Tours and Communication
Contribute to storytelling, guided tours, school programs, garden walks, and other communication activities.

Preparation, Light Cleaning, and Tidying Up
Help prepare the palace for opening and events, organize materials and inventory, and tidy up after activities.

Practical Tasks
Help with minor repairs, simple assembly tasks, moving inventory, organizing storage, and occasional driving by agreement.

Events and Hosting
Help with setup, guest reception, ticket control, seating, serving, practical tasks, and cleanup.

Garden and Landscape
Help with planting and caring for flowers and pots, collecting seeds, and other minor tasks in and around the garden.

History, Archive, and Development
Contribute with research, work with image archives, development of narratives, idea generation, partnerships, or fundraising.

Children, Youth, and Social Initiatives
Contribute to family activities, creative workshops, professional presentations, teaching, mentoring programs, or internship opportunities.

Once we receive your registration, we will see if we have a task that matches your interests and availability. We will then contact you so we can discuss the task together and assess whether it is the right match for both you and the palace.
