Café Kongens Køkken (The King's Kitchen)
Wednesday–Sunday 10 AM–5 PM
The kitchen closes at 4:30 PM
Café Kongens Køkken is open to everyone, whether you are visiting the castle, taking a walk in the garden, or simply wish to stop by for coffee, lunch, or homemade cake.
When the weather permits, you can also enjoy your meal in the garden with the castle and historic surroundings as your backdrop.

Admission and Advantage Cards
Admission fees are indicated upon booking.
If you have an annual pass or advantage card from Marienlyst Slots Venner, admission to exhibitions is free, but booking may still be necessary as the castle has limited capacity.
How to get here
Marienlyst Castle is located by the Øresund Strait in Helsingør.
It's a beautiful walk through the town, along the coast, or through the landscape surrounding the castle. We therefore recommend arriving on foot or by bike.
Distances:
- approx. 200 m to Marienlyst Station
- approx. 1.4 km to Helsingør Station
- approx. 1 km to the city center / Axeltorv
- approx. 1.1 km to Kronborg Castle
Parking & Transport
It is not possible to drive or park at the castle.
Drop-off can be done at the gate. Parking is referred to the city center. Alternatively, you can park outside the city and walk the rest of the way.
During major events, there may be restricted car access throughout the city.
Accessibility
Marienlyst Castle is a historic building, and therefore there are some limitations regarding access and accessibility.
- The exhibition "Paradise for all time," which opens in late summer 2026, is on the 1st floor and can only be reached via stairs
- Toilets are on the ground floor
- There is a ramp to the ground floor
