A special guided tour with access to the royal chambers

Once a month, we open the doors to Marienlyst Palace and invite you to a special guided tour within its historic walls.

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to experience more of the palace than during a regular visit. We also open the royal chambers on the 2nd floor, which are often used daily for meetings, parties, and events. Therefore, this tour is a unique opportunity to see more of the palace's beautiful rooms from the inside.

Along the way, we will tell you a little about Marienlyst Palace, about the extensive renovation and restoration, and about the work to once again make the palace a vibrant place for guests, culture, meetings, communities, and new activities.

The tour is not a classic historical overview of the entire palace's history, but an opportunity to get closer to the house, the rooms, the atmosphere, and the plans for Marienlyst Palace in the coming years.

We will talk about some of the choices and considerations behind the renovation, and how the palace is currently being developed as an open cultural venue with Kongens Køkken (The King's Kitchen), guided tours, events, meetings, parties, and upcoming exhibitions.

The tour is for you who would like to see Marienlyst Palace from the inside, experience the royal chambers, and hear more about how the palace is once again being filled with life.

Practical information

The guided tour lasts approximately 1 hour and is conducted in Danish.

After the tour, you are very welcome to continue the experience in Kongens Køkken, where you can enjoy food, coffee, or cake with a view of Øresund and the palace park.

We recommend that you book a table in advance if you wish to eat in connection with your visit.

Ticket price: DKK 75 per person.
Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

Please bring your booking confirmation by email upon arrival so that we can register your reservation and ensure access to the palace tour.

There is a limited number of tickets per tour, and we therefore recommend that you book your ticket well in advance.

Please note that the palace does not have an elevator, and the visit involves several stairs. The tour is therefore best suited for guests who are able to walk well.
