Marienlyst Castle is much more than a historical site. It is a living house where culture, experiences and community meet and where past and present speak together.
The work of opening and developing Marienlyst Castle is being done without public subsidies from the state or municipality, and the operation must therefore be supported by our own income and the support we can raise ourselves. The renovation of the castle's interior has been made possible through private foundation donations, while the further development and daily operation are based on our own efforts, partnerships and support from many.
After many years of persistent work, we have managed to secure the funds for a comprehensive interior renovation. This is a major milestone. But the work does not stop here. In order to open the castle and bring it to life – also in the years to come – we continue to need support.

How you can support Marienlyst Castle
Make a voluntary contribution
You have the opportunity to make a voluntary contribution to the work of Marienlyst Castle.
The contribution is given without compensation and is used to support the further development and operation of the castle.
Buy a gift card
A gift certificate to Marienlyst Castle is both a gift and a support.
Gift certificates can be used for experiences, café visits or events and are available in different sizes - depending on whether the gift is for a small tasting experience or something that lasts a little longer.
A meaningful gift that also contributes to the future of the castle.
Buy annual pass
With an annual pass you become a permanent part of Marienlyst Castle.
The annual pass for 2026 provides, among other things:
- 10% discount in the café
- invitations to events before others
- special experiences and benefits throughout the year
Annual passes are a purchase of access and benefits – and at the same time an important support for the daily operation and development of the castle.
Become a member
As a member, you support Marienlyst Castle in the long term and become part of a committed community around the place.
Membership provides access to newsletters, special openings and selected events and helps create a stable foundation for the castle's future.

Funds and pools
A significant part of the foundation for the renovation and development of Marienlyst Castle has been created through support from foundations and pools. We are continuously working on fund applications and partnerships that make it possible to preserve the castle's historical setting and develop new activities and experiences.
We are deeply grateful for the trust that foundations and donors have shown in the project – and we continue to work to secure funding for both operations, dissemination and future initiatives.
